About the Site

This blog is about GX, game(r) experiences.

Besides playing games, I have been working as UI designer, Usability Expert, Statistical UX Analyst, UX Manager, Teacher, Bookkeeper, Programmer, Mainframe Computer Operator, Cost Analyst, Beefmaster, Salesman of Shoes, and a few other enjoyably memorable summer jobs.

I typed in my first lines of code in 1980 and programmed my first digital games in 1982. In those days, there was a natural pressure to develop your own games. Programs were stored on C-cassettes and played by just your closest friends who happened to have a computer of the same type.

Nowadays I enjoy games made by others. As a UX professional, I also try to understand why humans in general enjoy playing, keeping the perspective wide.  I am a son of parents who never wanted to touch computers, and a father of children whose minds seem to have been connected to Internet from their birth.
